Improving my bike mechanic skills

Hi there - I would like to improve my bike mechanic skills and I'm looking for any cycling charities or similar bodies that take volunteers and train them to improve their bike mechanic skills. I live in East London so would ideally like to join a nearby group though I willing to travel. Alternatively do you know of any groups that run bike mechanic courses in or around London?

I'm aware covid has put a stop to a lot of these sorts of activities but I could hopefully get involved once things start to return to normal.

I'd be grateful for any thoughts you had.

Have a look at this new project started in Dalston. They were set up this year and are looking into setting themselves up as an essential service to remain active during lockdown.
